Technical Communication has not been known as a profession with a particularly strong basis in theory and research. Members of the profession are often too busy solving problems and meeting deadlines to do some of the extra work or document what has been done. This site has been established as a central site to connect those who want to do research, those who want to fund research, and those who have the need for research results. It could pave the way for more and better research in our profession.
