Managing World Wide Web Sites Without Them Managing Us 
World Wide Web sites have become an increasingly important medium for many organizations. The thrill of setting up these sites often begins at the grassroots level within an organization but as enthusiasm for these sites develops, management support becomes a necessity. Several layers of management within an organization must become involved in order for these sites to be effective. A case study at the Georgia Tech Research Institute illustrates many of the difficulties encountered and lessons learned from setting up and maintaining a comprehensive website for the Electro-Optics, Environment, and Materials Laboratory.
