We have a strict policy against advertisements, and therefore must rely on our readers' generosity to maintain this server's hardware and software. Donations have made it possible for us to run the EServer for eighteen years, and to provide access to an independent index of the technical communication body of knowledge to about two million readers per month, free of charge.

We always keep an up-to-date wish list of the equipment and software we'd like to purchase, if we had the funds. Because our primary workstation dates from 2004 and our server load is higher than we would like, our current wish list includes almost $20,000 worth of hardware and software.
