Abstract:
Designing and implementing successful research in technical communication involves an ongoing, circular process consisting of four parts: (1) planning the project and identifying funding needs, (2) matching research
needs with funding sources, (3) writing and submitting a
focused proposal, and (4) responding to the reviews of the
proposal. This same approach can be adapted to fit the
unique needs of any research situation.
