Abstract:
Reusable information objects and reusable learning objects are the building blocks of e-learning courseware and e-documentation. A strong business case can be
made for implementing a single-source content
repository for RIOs/RLOs to achieve reusability between
enterprise applications.
Keys to achieving reusability include: an effective metatagging
scheme, appropriate levels of granularity, and
adherence to standards such as the SCORM.
