Abstract:
We have been given two ears and but a single mouth in
order that we may hear more and talk less - Zeno of
Citium, ancient philosopher. Listening is our most used
communication skill, yet it is the skill that is taught the
least. This paper discusses why people don’t listen and
how we view those who don’t listen. The paper also
covers how to actively listen and the benefits of
effective listening.
