In developing countries like India, the branch of knowledge "Technical writing" is still burdened with a lot of stigmas.This paper will help getting rid of some of the irrational assumptions even the faculty members have. I believe this study will encourage the technical writing teachers who otherwise feel that their research would never be considered as good and worthwhile as their counterparts in other engineering and technoloty departments.
